Silsden AFC Remembers the 100 years since the outbreak of war with a Remembrance service at the ground.
The service recognises the local sportsmen and women who puts their lives on hold to fight and serve their country.
Especially poignant for us, the football club who sent many young men for the war cause with 3 local boys not returning over the 4 years of the war.
A special commemorative 16 page newspaper has been produced by the club on sale at £3 with all profits going to the Silsden British Legion Poppy Appeal.
The event is Saturday 8th November 2014 @ 1.00pm
